Planning and individualizing your training program is a key element in maximizing your training time and improving performance. Vo2 max testing measures the amount of oxygen consumed during exercise. The VO2 Max test is the gold standard for measuring cardio fitness.
It also determines the point at which lactic acid builds up in the blood steam during progressive exercise via a rise in carbon dioxide production. Lab testing of LT(Lactate threshold)/AT(Anaerobic threshold) is the most accurate method for establishing heart rate training zones,
and until recently was only available for elite athletes or through University performance labs. Chart your progress and determine heart rate training zones through Vo2 max testing at the Total Performance Lab and gain the insight you need to get fitter and faster.
