In my previous Columbia tri's, I have always had a good bike, a good run, or both. This time, both were off. After a pleasant swim 30:23 and smooth transition 3:59, I got on the bike course feeling a cautious about the wet pavement, and then discovered that someone had switched my real legs with a pair of lead weights. I felt gassed on the first hill, and things did not improve from there. I never got anything going on the run and saw my time worsen from my last training run by more than 10 minutes. At least there were lots of people to talk to as they went zooming by. Next year I will do better!
