Lake Anna was listed as 53 degrees on Friday and I did not believe it when they said it had warmed up to 57 on Sunday. I opted to take a DQ on the tri and do the event as a duathlon instead.
The bike course was pleasant with no real climbs of note. Coming back into the park was difficult with all of the boats being trailered in to be launched. The transition area was like a traffic intersection.
The run start was tough, up a steep incline and then a steady climb for the first mile. At least you went up the hill with the knowledge that it would be downhill all the way back.
Nice beach finish to the run, and the traffic on Rt 95 North coming back home was not too awful.
