Race Report:

Camped again this year, at the high school and slept well with this nice cool evening weather....and the thunderstorm was nice to have so we did not have any rain during the race...

but the transition mosh pit was challenging..

Swim time was what I expected at about 40mins. This is the area I could use more work on, but at least I have no trouble swimming a straight course.

T2 was much faster, due to bike placement and good lube of the ankeles.

I leave my bike shoes in my bike and then get my feet in the shoes after a few miles...without incident...

This year swithched from a Spinergy to a Zipp on the front, but had no magnet for the computer, so had no idea of speed / distance...and just tried to concentrate on efficient pedal stroke and moving around in the saddle a lot.
20.5mph average...2:45:07

Slower than I wanted.

T2 - visited the port-o-john, which made my T2 time 5+mins...

Run - started out and hear from Scott Fisher yelling "Deano...where's the Speedos"...just getting a little more modest...I guess...at least for this race....

Run was going well for first 6-7miles then needed to walk more..started doing 10, then 11, then 12min miles, but last was under 10, and REALLY dug deep ...all mental at this point...

Good race and GREAT tent support...THANKS MMTC!
