What a great race with some of my best friends who came in from across the country. The proceeds went to the Greenebaum Cancer Center, where I am on the board, and where my mom was last treated prior to her passing away from breast cancer at age 46. The run was hard. Hilly, and challenging. And I hadn't done a half-marathon in 15 years. After Columbia Tri, I figured I could gut it out, and I did. Legs hurt for two days after, but I'm so glad I did it. Can't wait to get faster, however! Ran my best friend across the finish line when I wasn't sure she'd make it on her own. A memorable, touching event. So glad I went.
