My first triathlon. My first Columbia Triathlon. My first race report. My first impression - wow, Wow and WOW! Despite the weather conditions at the start, it was a great day for me. Thank you to the folks that managed the support tent and all that it offered. As I sat in my car at 0450 in the parking swamp at Centennial, pondering my sanity having decided to follow through with my training/race commitment, I was grateful for the fact that the support tent was available to me - friendly faces, semi-dry and near the race start. Didn't want to imagine how the race preparation details that day would have changed without that advantage - would have been ugly. Thank you, again. I also greatly appreciate the advice I'd received from my mmtc mentor, nearly all of which i used in what I consider a successful effort.
SWIM TO BIKE TRANSITION: 7:20
BIKE TO RUN TRANSITION: 4:38
Had a bit of a snafu that I'd forgotten to attach my saddle bag to my bike when I arrived in the morning which contributed to my exceptionally long T1. No, I didn't stop for a Starbucks. Overall I feel good about my first showing.
