Swim - I was very concerned about this part of the race and spent pretty much the last month almost exclusively working on this aspect, as you will note by 'run' time later. It took until the second orange buoy to settle down and find some rythym, did well (for me) from then on in. Thanks to power lunch Wednesday with Linda, couldn't have completed it without those sessions.
Bike - last years weakness is now this years relative strength; dropped my chain just past the accident, other than that a good ride with great crowd support and Bill "spin those hills" Wheler's tips from the last meeting in my head.
Run - Last years strength I clearly took for granted and battled cramps in both hamstrings the entire way, but my wife and 3 kids (6, 4 and 2)were at the park by the handball courts cheering me on and giving me our "hang loose be cool" surfer hand signals. Sammy (2 yr old) also apparently joined several runners for a short bit. My wife couldn't believe how good natured everyone was about it and how happy they were to have the kids cheering for them.
