Race Report:

My only goal for Celebration was to PR from my last years time on the course from Iron Girl.

A few changes I made from my last tri: I brought my bucket to sit on for transitions, I wore those large and in-charge goggles which were awesome and I put Loc-It laces on my running shoes to help with transition.

I was able to PR by 20 minutes overall. I have really been trying to cut down on my transition times. Considering all the sea weed we swam through I was excited for any swim progress. I PR my swim by 2 min. As soon as we got in the water someone said, "some women pay a lot of money for a seaweed bath--try to think of it that way" so thats what I tried to think of during the swim.

Finally I was able to get my swim bike transition down from 5:10 to 2:22 and I had a PR on the bike of ten minutes.

Then it was back for another transition. I worked on taking my helmet off and gloves off before getting to my spot. This seemed to helped. I only dropped a few seconds off my second transition (1:33 to 1:17)

Then it came down to the run. I am still having problems getting my run times down. Was able to cut off 5 minutes on the run but I feel like after all doing all those painful run-bike-run practices I would be faster.

Still have a lot of work to do but I am stoked about my improvements. THANK YOU all MMTC members for being out there. Your support is greatly appreciated.
