It's been a long, trying year getting over my Achilles injury, but I finished strong. My Iron Girl race gave me confidence to run this one hard.
Swim: nice and solid:
half mile in 14:44 (distance had to be short!)
T1 in 1:25
I picked up a lot of places here; transition time definitely matters!
Bike: hard pace in the wind; passed too many to count and was only passed by 2
15.5 miles in 49:51
T2 in 1:19
wasted too much time putting on socks; next running shoes will be fitted for sockless!
Run: I wanted to beat by best tri run pace of 9:08 but had a real goal to go under 9 minutes/mile. I crushed it!
