Race Report:

I was happy with the results of this race...I did my first triathlon last August with Iron Girl, and I got a 14 minute improvement so no real complaints. But I still have lots and lots of room to get better !!

SWIM (29:56) - I for some reason panicked horribly before my wave was about to enter the water. I couldn't stand still and I had to keep myself breathing at a relaxed rate...but it seems once I got the water, I was ok. I had a difficult time sighting the buoys initially so the only mantra that came to mind was "Follow the yellow capped heads....Follow the yellow capped heads....Follow the yellow capped heads"

T1: 4:01 - I could have saved at least a minute here if I didnt spend so much time trying to figure out how to get my helmet on...it just wouldn't 'click in' !!! ugh !!

BIKE (1:11:18) - I did much better than expected....especially since I forgot my water bottles at home that morning! Luckily the MMTRI tent had gatorade bottles and at 6:55am I RAN to the transition site to get there before they closed to put it on my bike. I think that run was actually my best timing for the day!!

T2: 2:36 All I can say is that I dilly daddle too much....

RUN (43:17) - I really pooped out during this part....my legs were tired, the heat was unbearable....but I made it to the finish line!!!!

ALL IN ALL this was a great race and I am very thankful for the MMTRI tent and volunteers!!!
