Race Report:

No problems getting to Perryville and getting registered and set-up but water temps too high for wetsuits, so 1 mile "au natural" sort speak. :-p

Only 3 waves and in 2nd. Water start and really hard to see buoys...only turn buoys and no mid-course buoys! I am normally very good at navigation but went off course and also spent lots of time breast stroking to sight. Swim - 39:44 (but this also included climb up stairs and time to get to transition).

No need to bother with wetsuit, shoes on, helmet and our to bike mount. Saw LOTS of crashes, and a really bad crash on the steep down hill into trees and just before the sharp left about 10+ miles into the race. As I turned the corner, the rider in front of me had to stop for the ambulance to get by. This course always has lot of loose gravel in the area, and I am a little to old to go "all-out". 27 mi. bike time a respectable 1:27:02.

Out on run. Missed mile marks, but saw 2mi and 3 mile, but know that 1 & 4 are way off, based on min/mile pace. Run time 41:25.

4th of 11, but about 10min behind #3. Joined Masters and determined to not loose 5-7mins in swim.

Cooler temps than it had been and a good race, but may try to get there earlier next year and sweep some of the more nasty turns.
