A PR for me! And I am paying a price today...
Swim Time 30:29
I am not a good swimmer, but this was my fastest swim at this triathlon. I also felt good and strong during the swim. All due to the Columbia Masters and coach Sue Mangan. I enjoyed the swim.

The bike "Felt" great. Get it? "Felt"? My best bike time at this event. However, I crashed on the course. An individual in front of me lost control while reaching for the water bottle and took me out. Mark Yost always says; "Pain is your friend". This was one of those situations when he was right. I believe I went faster because of the pain in my hip and I kept thinking: "I have to catch up". I was able to pass all the folks I had passed before who passed me while I was on the ground. I actually think falling helped me go faster. I am limping around today, but who cares!

My best run also. I love my Newtons! What really helped me was all the MMTC folks on the course cheering for us, the MMTC uniforms all over the place and again my best friend, pain, running with me.
Thanks to all the folks who volunteered; Carlos and George, my training buddies, and to all the MMTC members who make every race competitive and fun. I am grateful to have such an incredible network of healthy, fun people all around!
