Race Report:

Sorry I am late with the race report, but I have spent the last two days laughing after reading Sergio's report!
My goal was to qualify for the Hy-Vee 5i50 Championships in Des Moines, which I did, and I am happy about. However, I wanted to do better than just that and place top five. I did not!
I had my average swim of 29:51, but my bike, 1:16, was slower than last year by 5 minutes, and my run, 52:00, was also slower than last year by 4 minutes.
My dilemma lately has been, listening to my body, spending time with Kipp, keeping up with work responsibilities, not getting injured, getting enough sleep, etc....All the things we worry about! All with the true desire to perform better...for I might have placed more emphasis on everything else rather than training. But, hey, my kid loves me....
